Well, ladies
What I am about to recommend is going to sound ridiculous, and I need you to hear me out.
It is socks in bed.
I know. I resisted this for months. Clare brought it up in September after I mentioned I was lying awake until almost one most nights.
She said it in that way she has, like she was handing me a memo she had already decided I would follow.
Her exact words were "just wear socks, Sonia, it is not complicated." ☕ And because I am who I am, I did not wear the socks.
Six weeks. That is how long I held out, purely on principle. She did not ask me if I wanted advice. She diagnosed and prescribed in one sentence, standing in my kitchen, and something in me just locked.
Dani, meanwhile, has been texting about a trip she wants to plan for November, some long weekend somewhere warm. 😌 She keeps sending me packing lists at 11pm like a person who has never heard of mornings.
My answer was that I would look at it when I could sleep past midnight. She sent back nothing but a shrug emoji, which told me everything.
I pooped INSTANTLY thanks to this Japanese “black candy”
Japanese doctors just proved that this "black candy" UNCLOGS your bowels...
Allowing you to poop out up to 21lbs in 14 days. No fiber needed.

In fact:
> It’s 3x better than prunes or Metamucil.
> Harvard is studying it…
> And just 2 of these "mysterious candies" a day can quickly END your constipation and bloating...
Ready to poop out fat like clockwork?
Two weeks ago I read a short piece about body temperature and sleep, and the science is simple enough that it stuck.
When your feet are warm, the blood vessels open up and release heat from your core. Your core temperature drops, and that drop is one of the signals your brain uses to start falling asleep.
Cold feet do the opposite. They keep everything tight, and your body stays alert longer than it needs to.
So I tried it. Not because Clare told me to. Because I read it independently and came to it on my own terms, which is an important distinction that matters only to me.
The first night I wore a loose pair of cotton socks to bed and I fell asleep before midnight for the first time in weeks. The second night, same. By night four I woke up without that heavy, sandy feeling behind my eyes.
If socks feel wrong, you can run warm water over your feet for ten to fifteen minutes before bed instead. The warm water opens the blood vessels and your core cools the same way.
Two weeks in now. Not a single night past midnight. I still wake up once, sometimes twice, but falling back is faster, and the mornings feel different in a way I cannot quite name except to say that my eyes open easier.
Clare has not said "I told you so." She does not need to. Her silence is louder than anything she could say. 🤍
She is not getting the satisfaction of hearing she was right. I came to this myself and that counts. This is one of my less attractive qualities and I have made my peace with it.
Try the socks. Or the warm water. Tonight.
