Well, ladies

That thing under your chin is not age. Hear me out before you argue.

It is not weight. It is not gravity finally winning. It is where your head has been sitting for the last ten years.

Phone, laptop, steering wheel, couch. Your head drifts about two inches forward of your shoulders and stays there. Your neck rearranges itself around that position and nobody says a word.

Went out three nights last week. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. 🙄 Said yes to all three because I have never learned how to turn down a dinner.

Worth it, though. Thursday was great. Friday was fine. Saturday I should have stayed home and I knew it by ten but did I leave. No.

By Sunday morning I was done. Not hangover done. Just three nights of loud restaurants and heels and falling asleep on my couch in my jacket.

Sat on the edge of my bed, caught my reflection, and thought: rough.

But it was not the late nights. What I was actually seeing was my posture.

This Is How Your Drinking Water Speeds Up Memory Loss By 50%

Scientists at the University of New Mexico just made a shocking discovery:

Inside the water you drink every single day, there are invisible toxic shards silently building up inside your brain…

Strangling your brain cells like a snake…

Crushing the connections that keep your memory sharp…

And speeding up memory loss by 50% every 8 years.

If you want to see what's erasing your memory daily — and stop it before it's too late — you need to check this out now:

My head was so far forward that the skin under my chin was bunching. My neck looked shorter. My whole face was angled at the floor even though I was looking straight ahead.

Mentioned it to Sonia on the phone that night. She got quiet. Then said she had noticed it at dinner Thursday but was still deciding how to say it. Very Sonia. 😂

She said my head looked like it was trying to arrive five minutes before the rest of me. Rude. Accurate.

When your head sits forward of your shoulders, the muscles in the front of your neck lengthen and weaken, and the ones in the back shorten and tighten. Your jaw drops into a different position.

The skin under your chin folds because there is nowhere else for it to go. This is not just age. This is ten hours in a chair.

I tell clients this constantly. Walked around with my own head two inches ahead of my spine for who knows how long.

Chin tucks. Sit or stand straight. Look forward. Pull your chin straight back, not down, straight back, like you are giving yourself a double chin on purpose.

Hold five seconds. Release. Do ten.

You will feel it at the base of your skull and the back of your neck. Those muscles have been off. That first set is humbling.

Been doing ten in the morning and ten after lunch since Monday. Clare saw me at coffee yesterday and said my posture looked different. 💀 Not better. Different.

Pulling your head back over your shoulders lets your jaw sit where it is supposed to. Your face changes because your skeleton is in a different position. Not a cream. Not a filter.

Want to check yours? Stand with your back against a wall. If the back of your head does not touch without tilting up, your head is forward.

Failed it. Five days ago my head was not even close.

Your jawline is not the villain here. Your head just forgot where it belongs. 🙌
